The staff were kind and cute, the hotel was so beautiful, and everything was perfect! I really had a great rest here, better than any other hotel I've ever stayed in. And if possible, I definitely recommend the sea view room!! It was the best!

The hotel has four swimming pools, one of which is right next to the coastal rocks, which is very convenient for swimming in the sea and resting on the shore. An exemplary experience at Cala Esmeralda on our mother and daughter last minute getaway. I couldn’t fault the hotel, the setting is just stunning on the most beautiful cove, interior design felt more like a 5 star, and the food and cocktails were delicious every time. The staff were very professional, friendly and attentive to our needs throughout the stay, particularly the manager Miguel who took time to make us feel welcomed and ensure we had the best experience of Mallorca. The room was beautifully clean with excellent amenities, including a private balcony with the sea view - the perfect spot for an evening wind down. Overall I think this hotel deserves 5 stars, would love to come again!

This resort should be a 3 or 2.5 star. it is NOT a 4 star. The price does not justify the quality. The food was not good, the rooms are TINY, there is no storage for much of anything. Only hanging clothes and a place for shoes. nothing else. The bathroom was a joke. So tiny, like a camper. The bedding was not good, the pillows were the worst, and the housekeepers barely made the beds. Every night we would have to fix the sheet smooth out wrinkles and tuck in sides and bottom. The customer service was maybe a 3/10. The ONLY redeeming qualities were- the location (but it is not oceanfront as they imply) The beach club was nice, except they were very stingy with the towels (they wanted us to use dirty towels for 2 days then get fresh and ONLY 1 each) We loved Mallorca and Cala D'or but if this is the best hotel we can get there, then we won't go. There are MANY lovely resorts all over the world with fantastic customer service and amenities without having to pay more for less at Inturotel Cala Esmeralda.

Very excited to visit this hotel after reading a positive review score, however reality was not so positive, to help you we are listing pros and cons. Negative Aspects; - No food available following late arrival despite paying half board ( apart from dry sliced bread, cheese slices and ham slices). - Cleanliness poor, after 3 days we cleaned the toilet mess that was there before we were. - Food in the evening mediocre with a distinct lack of choice for vegetarians, and in my case pescatarian - basically ‘white fish of the day’ - breakfast again lack of choice and only a few slices of fruit available. Getting a coffee was a real nightmare; the only decent coffee was via a machine, and they are slow, very slow with large que’s, they need at least 8 more machines. - Sun lounges need updating, they are uncomfortable . - Entertainment? Where? Positives: - The staff are just amazing, really lovely, very helpful and definitely the best thing about the hotel. - The Spa is excellent - The Masseuses Ona and Joanna are amazing, seriously the best ever! - Interior and Exterior of hotel beautiful. So on that note, we would not be returns to this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for a week at the end of August / start of September. The hotel had a boutique type hotel feel in design and is spotlessly clean. We had a good experience at check in and overall the staff are friendly. The rooms are well equipped but very compact, there are some basic issues such as not very much room to make tea and coffee, not very much room in the fridges / mini bar and no iron or board which isn’t great for a 5* hotel. The showers are spacious and are rainfall style which’s suits me being tall! The pool areas are relaxing and we didn’t have any issues getting sunbeds. The breakfasts had a good choice of food and the quality was what you’d expect - I wouldn’t say poor but nothing special either. The bar in the main hotel and at Sa Cala were good in terms of service and convenience but I do understand why some people begrudge paying the prices as they are expensive. For us the convenience was worth it and the view at Sa Cala was so worth it! The food is good but not great. Overall, I agree with some of the other reviews this isn’t an all singing all dancing 5* hotel - however overall we had a fantastic experience and would stay here again. The hotel is 10-15 min walk to the main town with plenty of bars and restaurants along the way. We quite enjoyed the walk there an back each day.

Breakfast choice just the same everyday and a lot of foods are dry. Room had tiles allowing insects and cockroaches in from the balcony. Staff treat everyone differently was at the outdoor area had to put t shirt on when is full sun 35 degreees but other people sitting didn’t have to. Pool doesn’t open till 9am which is also poor doesn’t allow you time to chill in morning at pool with coffee. Pool service only got asked if wanted to order a drink once in 7 days and also have to use paper cups which fall apart. Not a 5 star hotel.
